Our defense prospect pool was a bit shallow. I don’t love the payment but if it works out this isn’t bad.
If you recall from last years draft we had the #43 ovr pick. Detroit had #42 ovr and selected Gibson. I’m assuming after this trade that’s who they wanted to select at that spot. The org must be very high on the kid

Gibson looked like an NHLer in the OHL playoff games that I watched him in this year. I’m excited to get this guy

Don’t really get the appeal. A Feb birthday, so it isn’t like he’s super young for his age and his stats aren’t really that game breaking. Would rather roll the dice with someone younger with more upside but guess we shall see. Would think that currency might get more valuable to the draft instead of making moves well ahead of it
