1. Offsides was never meant to be called this way! It’s out of control let the guys play. It has no impact on the play and in the long run you get as many called back on your team as much as against the other so it evens out anyway.

  2. As a noobie Oilers fan, I gotta ask, what the heck is the meaning of offside and why its a illegal play if the puck is at some point no on the blue line or whatever? I thought this was Hockey, not Osu or CSGO lineups or some crap

  3. I watched NHL Hockey back when bad calls were part of a game. Bad calls added adversity and resilience to a game and team dynamics. Today all calls are cleansed by technology via micro review. Suffocating the sense of competitiveness in order for the be all of getting things absolutely, clinically and meticulously right. A bad call doesn’t stand a chance. I appreciate I watched the bad call NHL era. For those who didn’t continue to point and click your way to video Hockey manufactured satisfaction.

  4. I clearly no longer understand “ offside”. If the puck is leaving the zone it must be completely past the blue line but when entering the zone it must be completely inside the blue line??? I always thought ON the blue line was considered IN the zone either way?? Am I wrong?

  5. Definitely controversial call. I mean I’m glad the panthers are losing and they aren’t getting favorited by the refs

  6. The definitive angle is the overhead and it is clear in that shot that the puck is still touching the line when the players skate is over it.

  7. I mean, only if PP is more of a threat then maybe Knoblauch will have a second thought. Heck, the Oilers may even score on PK.

  8. The talking heads and Oiler Fans will Understand like Boston "Greatest Team of All time"
This is whay the Cats do to you

  9. They played months of games last season all elimination games and thrived. They love it!
Keep looking at the micro stats from talking heads of last few hours. Or look at who the cats actually are. They've still jacked from the last game 7s they played

  10. Not a fan of either but this was lame. That was way to close to be definitive. Call on the ice should have stood seeing as it wasn't conclusive. Oh well. Wonder where the bets have been placed from the officials. Lol

  11. There is no way that you can say 100% that it was offside!!! Haven't seen a clear picture of where the punk is compared to the skate blade!!!! BAD CALL, not the first against the Panthers in this series.

  12. 0:48 another game another Darnell Nurse brain fart. Why? Just stay with the guy you had….instead you almost threw another entire game. $9M of nothingness

  13. 1:37 nothing to do with touching the stick player was well over the blue line before puck. Not even close. It’s clearly offside.

  14. We have the technology to determine if an offside is by centimetres now, so this will be the new standard. Not exactly what the original rule was for but games change with the times and tech, which is why they have multiple staff in the video departments.

  15. Being a bruins fan, my unbiased opinion is it was offside

    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  16. 0:34:
Definitely offside and there is "No doubt 'bout it" !!

    Good challenge by the Oilers.
'Bout time Bettman and his NHL refs start to rule favour Canada.

After 31 years of the NHL Yankees (all of Bettman's USA bandwagon southern teams recently) winning, Canada finally deserve's their cup.

If only Trudeau will get rid of Canada's East Indian population that destroyed this country, we'll win.
After all, it was Harper who was Canada's leader with Canada won the Olympic gold in 2010.

  17. Baloney. That was definitely on sides, but the powers that be in the NHL want Connor McDiver to win a Stanley Cup so bad. Look at the penalties, look at how the linesmen rush in to hold the Panthers players while the Edmonton guys take free shots at them, This is bullshit.

  18. Talk about tight, the offside only appears in one frame and I’m going to guess they’re filming at 30 frames/ second.

  19. Whoever carried that puck should be taking 💯 of the blame for that offside. He’s supposed to use his reach getting the puck inside the blue line before any of his teammates have to make a split second decision to step in. That’s how fast the game is. Those who play will understand what I’m saying.

  20. I once had a teammate in peewee who would offside me everytime I had the puck, so I learned to make sure to use my reach and get the puck inside the blue line before him. After that he couldn’t offside me even if he tried. We learn this as kids. Common!

  21. Right call, but they absolutely need to change the rule. This was millimeters offside and had no impact on a goal that would have brought the game within one.completely ridiculous.

  22. I’m glad the player who didn’t even touch the puck did not get away with the .0001 second advantage here.

  23. It was actually a good play by Draisaitl to put pressure on the puck carrier at the line . It made the puck carrier make the extra move that caused the offside.

  24. The Florida fans who blindly believe there wasn't offside remind me of the way Trump supporters swear that no one did anything wrong on January 6, 2021
