The difference between Leonard and Parascak signing their ELCs is if Leonard signs, he can’t return to BC due to NCAA rules and thus would have joined the Caps’ roster. Parascak can sign and go back to the WHL because of an agreement between the NHL and CHL, so he was always going to be signed. So not really a lucky guess unless Leonard does indeed sign

Judging from the comments he made to the media the other day, it seems like Leonard’s original plan was always to play 2 years at BC, then turn pro, and he seems to be sticking to that (despite some agonizing over it.) I think the one thing that would have probably pushed him over the edge would have been if BC had won the Beanpot and the Nat’l Championship last season.

We just need to be patient.
