  1. As a Kings fan myself and I apologize but this is definitely going to hurt some feelings but at this point don't really care because this pattern has gotten beyond annoying about this fanbase. I am not the biggest Rob Blake fan in the world but plain and simple with this fanbase there is no winning with it. Playoffs ended fans were crying about being undersized and needed more grit Blake goes out and gets exactly that and fans are now crying about that literally no winning. As usual everyone blaming Blake about "not doing more" on free agency but thing is how do you know he didn't try to? Free agents that is the players choice and only having something like 19 mill in cap space he had enough to fix the issues. Kings have at least 3-4 players that can score 25-30 goals (Kempe, Moore, Fiala, Kopitar) goal scoring isn't the issue. Roy wasn't staying we all could figure that out quickly, Lizotte loved him but undersized injury prone, Arvy literally never has had a heathy season only 3 times he has gone past 70 games. Everyone thinks Kuemper is going to suck because of how he played in Washington when if the Kings could make a average goalie like Talbot look amazing most of the season Kuemper will do better. The big thing the everyone seems to be forgetting is you have to get Thomas/Turcotte/Fagemo in so people had to go they cant spend ANOTHER year in Ontario literally just wasting them there. People need to realize that getting these kids integrated might make it a slight setback but they need their experience now. As far as the new guys Foegele if he can get 15-20 he's already a upgrade over Lizotte scoring/size wise and if he stays healthy and scores that much its almost a even trade off with Arvidsson since Arvidsson best year was 26 goals the first year was 20. Jeannot same thing get little bit of production and his grit its a upgrade over Lizotte, Edmonson is literally the only question mark but doubt he can be much worse than Englund

  2. Can somebody do a season review of off season kings performance over the last 20 years – feel like we had worse post post seasons

  3. I became a fan of the site when you played us this year. I’m a huge oil fan. I want to see you guys succeed but I have no idea what Blake is doing.

  4. Have always been a huge oilers fan and have always hated arvidssen…to play against. So happy we have him now. Foegle is great but not on the same level.

  5. Vegas and Vancouver are just as good as Edmonton. If you wanna win now your best positional players have to be as good as their best positional players. I’d take any of their top centers and top D and top goalies over kopitar and doughty and any goalie we have in a 7 game series. And before you disagree with me just know that Edmonton has two centers better and vegas has two centers better as well.

  6. When Blake signed Kovalchuck, you knew we were in for a rough ride with Blake at the helm. It felt like a parlor trick, something a more seasoned GM would have realized is not a good idea. Moreover, the Kings were primed for a rebuild at that point. The PLD signing (not the trade – the trade was fine) was another stupid gamble.

I’ve wanted a genuine rebuild since 2015. Dean Lombardi got us out of the “black hole” and now we’re back square in the middle of it. I wish the Kings would just accept the fact that they are pretenders at ABSOLUTE BEST, and dump the veterans, unless they are interested in sticking around and mentoring young players. These hodgepodge teams, with no real identity, that Blake has been fielding have been such a far cry from the glory years. On the other hand, if there’s a clear plan/vision for the future, I think fans will get behind the rebuild. I certainly would.

Side note, every season, no matter what, people will complain about not signing a scorer. I liked Toffoli but what’s he going to do in terms of addressing this team’s problems? He’ll score a couple goals, wonderful. But when the team lacks the talent and speed to create space for him, then what? He (and Kopitar and Doighty) also aren’t getting any younger.

  7. It's important to note that there were as many as 4 other teams in on Edmundson all the way up to the end, so much so that the Kings had to add another 200k (over the life of the contract) to get him. These included FLA, NSH and NYR, some pretty good teams, so saying "I don't think anyone was else was interested in him" is just inaccurate my friend.

There are plenty of things to bash on RB for, we don't need to make up stuff to complain about 🙂

  8. Chycrun wld have been a great add over Edmundson. Didnt cost much,6 yrs younger ,and can put up points. He had been linked to Kings too.

  9. Seriously need a right hand shot goal scorer…. hopefully it's Fagemo.
    Unfortunately won't be Toffoli.

  10. People, players don't want to live in California. Simple as that. The state is a shit show. If I were a player, I wouldn't want to come to LA. It has nothing to do with the Kings team.

  11. Can someone call Futa and see if he's interested in the job? To be fair, Lombardi had a rough start as well when he hired Crawford and then went all in on Cloutier (probably on Crawford's advice) and the Kings ended up with 5 goalies starting games. The drafting of players wasn't always great under Lombardi (Hickey, Teubert, Tambellini, Boyle, etc) minus some successes here and there: Doughty, Quick, Voynov…but what Lombardi did do mostly well was trade for players that were going to help the team. Blake has not been able to do that. Lombardi got game breakers in their prime: Richards, Carter, Gaborik, Stoll, Greene and got rid of overpriced dead weight like Visnovsky, BLAKE, Demitra and Norstrom. Plus, having a TOP NOTCH goaltender like Quick was what made all of the difference. I still remember Quick stopping breakaway chances and thinking: "I have never seen a Kings goalie do that routinely" because the Kings have never, ever consistently had good goalies. This Kings team now is nowhere near winning a Cup.

  12. A big pass on TT… way too soft. I don't ever want to see a kings player regularly slow down and hit the brakes so he doesn't have to go into the corners first.

  13. As a Kings fan this channel, the content and the moronic comments are an embarrassment. Hilarious to read…so there’s that. 😂

  14. Basically, who knows what kind of team Blake is patching together, since neither he nor anyone else in the organization knows what the plan is. Looks to me Blake doesn’t even know himself. He drafts or picks or trades like throwing darts.
Building an elite team shouldn’t be that difficult, but Blake makes it difficult or impossible. Remember an elite team means the top 8 out of 32 teams. Super elite are the top 4 teams. These elites achieve about 110 points, have stars that score 90 points per season, and the PP is dynamite prolific.

Unless Blake lucked out with a lucky dart sticking in the bulls eye, I’m seeing the Kings having 90+ points and another low seed or even missing the playoffs by a few points short.

  15. Kuemper – ok , got out of the PLD dumpster fire and gained cap space

Jeannot – ok, young, quick and tough with possible upside

Foegele – ok , young, quick, and plays all out with possible upside

But edmundson ? Dude hasn’t finished an NHL season ever… talk about injury prone 😂 maybe Blake knows something or he doesn’t 🤷🏽‍♂️😂 Good GM’s get good players to come to their organization no matter the constraints, they make it happen… Blake isn’t that guy in my opinion

But excited to see our young guys in the lineup for sure this season

  16. People need to check out Toffoli's comments about how he was traded from LA and see why he was never going to sign with LA again.

  17. I'm just going to call him Dave Taylor going forward. I haven't been this annoyed with the Kings this much since we had players like Brian Willsie, Beachball Cloutier and Marc Crawford at the helm.

  18. Poor Blake, a puppet GM, having to follow a visionary executive and GM like Lombardi and his almost-dynasty team that had two epic Cup finishes.

I think Edmundson is one thing, signing Edmundson both for the salary/cap hit and term. Edmundson is not worth 10 million as a mediocre bottom pair defenseman unless he wins an $18 million lottery jackpot.
