Kim Pegula no longer makes day-to-day decisions with the Sabres or Bills since she had her heart attack back in 2022. Now it's Terry and one of his daughters from his first marriage.
Revamped bottom 6. The bottom 6 is now more faster, more physical & will dish out more hits. $13 million left in cap space. 3 RFAs left to sign. #1C through #4C is now set. Cap space in the NHL is a hard cap outside of buyouts, trades & LTIR. GMKA with Ruff's input has made changes to this team. Skinner for the record scored 7 goals from February till the end of the season- Feb 2 goals & Mar 7 goals (3 vs Seattle) 0 after 3-18.
I agree with everything said and have been saying the same thing sense the Sabres wouldn't pay out to keep one or both of the top NHL stars at the time Chris Drury and Daniele Briere.

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time. Nearly everything you use to support your position is just flat out wrong. The Sabres made Dahlin the second highest paid defenseman in the league. Is that what you think a cheap owner would do? Give Owen Power 8 mil a year after 1 year in the NHL? The Sabres fired coaches with years left on their contracts. Terry fires coaches with years left on their contracts, paying them money to not coach anymore, do you think cheap owners do that? Give Jeff Skinner 18 million to NOT be a Sabre anymore? Spend 100 million out of his own pocket to buy a new scoreboard for the arena? And after they sign UPL, Krebs, and Malenstyn, they'll only have about 5 million in cap space left.
I'm not saying the Sabres don't have problems. Of course they do. They just have nothing to do with how much money they spend or Terry being cheap.

Another fool.. yeah, they have 13M of cap left.. but they still have 4 RFA's to get signed that are expected to chew up between half and 3/4ths of that… So it' snot fully available to be spent.. and if they are so cheap.. explain the Thompson, Cozens, Dahlin, Power deals… they don't look cheap…
The whole idea that Pegula loves the Bills and Hates the Sabres doesn’t make any sense. And there is some merit to what Adam’s said about saving cap, we have to pay Quinn, Byram and Peterka next year. That could be like 20 mil or more. If we suck next season I’ll apologize. I like this team right now though. Healty Tage, healthy Jack, Power is due to take a step. Let’s see what happens man.
I'm sure it's hard to attract players to Buffalo, with the city being what it is, and the team being what it is, but if they have that much cap space, it sounds like they're not even trying.
Totally hear what you're saying we should've called up Steve Stamkos and said what do you want? How much for how long it's yours but instead they're just happy to stay mediocre and miss the playoffs again.
It’s a sin to see where this franchise is going. You’re looking at 13 years now of misery no attempt to getting better. I have to imagine with Utah figured out the NHL has to start looking at Buffalo and try to encourage his ownership to do something for once in its life
