  1. That 800k difference between NHL and AHL contracts is interesting. Is it game by game if he jumps up and down all season? If so, he would make about $10.5k per game as a Duck, but only about $850 per game as a Gull. Definitely a motivating factor to play his best this season and make the big club

  2. Looks like a good signing for LA that could end up being a steal and congrats to Sutter I'm pretty sure he's the games played leader for the Riegn and was great captain for Ontario

  3. Happy to hear that Brett Sutter gets the good ending to his playing career, and he gets to take the next evolutionary step in the place he calls home. He is still well regarded in Ontario, where he was Captain of the Reign for some years, staying on well after the Kings fired his dad.

  4. The type of deal Heinola's getting is part of the reason why McGroarty won't play for the Jets. It's why Trouba and Copp were unhappy. This organization keeps burying their young guys on the Moose, killing their trade value, and grinding them down to take a low-price contract that will eat into their UFA years.

  5. Videos on AHL faithfuls (or what to call them) would be interesting, even if it might be names I don't recognise. Playing there for a long time, you'll obviously have talent, but not enough to break it into the NHL and ýou could possibly make more money in a European league.

  6. Shannon, with the mention of Brett Sutter retiring i think a video on hockey families would be great, the sutters, sedins, the joseph brothers, the tkachuk's, would be interesting to note all the families that have been a part of the nhl

  7. Any news on Lankinen? Really hope he can find a spot, had a good season last year and deserves to play. Seems goaltending duos in NHL starts to look like an expensive star goalie and an experienced cheap back up guy. Good goalies in the 2-4 mill range no longer have prime market value.

  8. Congratulations to Brett. I like the idea of the video on AHL guys. Have you ever done a video on the Sutter family?

  9. Damned straight, mate! There have been many excellent AHL teams, over the years. Vancouver's farm in Winterpeg, for example.

  10. It’d be cool if you did a video on the Sutter family history in hockey (if you haven’t already). Thx for the great job you do. You’re my hockey fix in the summer.

  11. If Kuzy does move to KHL, his cap hit is not only with the 'Canes. The Caps have roughly $4mm of retained salary from the trade to Carolina
