Better because mikheyev is gone
Better we’re gonna win the cup next year
allvins still gonna be making moves they got better.
Canucks have a bunch of trees on the backend now…Lolol
The worst copy and paste answers i have ever heard. Thats lazy journalism
Petey didn't have great wingers and that didn't help. But certainly his mindset needs work. I'm on about this at times – you pay whatever to improve players' performance physically. Socially, it's much more acceptable for people anywhere to get counselling, use systems like yoga and meditation for calmness. So then teams should prescribe it the way they do physical rehab. Sure, there are fans and coaches and management that still think toughness should come out in all personalities naturally when you're a pro, but hey, it's the 21st century, and you have a lot invested in this guy. If you don't improve his mindset, then you won't be able to move him anyway, so invest in mental toughness too.
Who were the star players for the Canucks in the playoffs? Boeser Miller zadorov lindholm Joshua garland. 2 of them gone so hard to say.
Without a doubt they're worse.
They had the best shooting percentage and 6th best sv% last year.
Regression is a helluva drug and it will kick in to some degree next season.
Defense is worsed my prediction finished wild card
Boeser 8 years at 8.75 Calling it now
We will have to see what the team does during the regular season but to me the moves feel pretty lateral. Lindholm is probably the better player over a longer sample size than DeBrusk but I also think DeBrusk fills a role as a top line winger on the Canucks that can dig in corners and battle for pucks.
I think this team is competing again for their division and could put up a 100+ point season but the room that Allvin and Rutherford have given themselves to grow this team the next few years is what fans should be excited about.
They are definitely tougher to play against…. As long as debrusk can score with Petey. They are a better team for sure
Get that goof Patterson going and they'll be good.
Not so sure. Alot rides on Demko staying healthy and Broek stays health and JT.
In what world is a team better with DeBrusk and Desharnais instead of Lindholm and Zadorov? The only thing that might make the team better now is Demko being healthy.
Losing Lindholm and zadorov makes them worse
Hot take: i think canucks miss the playoffs. They over achived last season. They gota get Another star in the top 6 and a Ekholm or Another tough shutdown defensman
I think the Canucks are better, than they were last season
Does trading pety for Brady Tchuck and a '25 1st make sense if you're going for the cup?
whether Canucks better or worse, other teams will prepare better to play Canucks
played half the season injured and still got 89 points?….yeah im not worried about pettersson
Silov is such a steal!…. I think this goalie is underrated but not for long.
This gossip not sports news.
This team is no better than last season they are worse he is correct!!! That will get dusted again in playoffs if they even make it !!!
Slightly better. Lekkerimaki might crack the big squad too.
Only time will tell
Canucks = Worse. Greedy Petey = cause.
Better.
Lindholm and Zadorov arrived at the end of a very successful season.
I'm calling it now!! Canucks will not make playoffs next year!! Tochet is a good coach but last year was there chance they had EDM 3-2 series and blew it!! Petterson has been exposed.. Canucks will have alot of injuries and Boesser is heading home to America
I don't think it can be argued that they are worse than they were at the beginning of last season. When the Canucks were playing their best regular season hockey, they didn't have Lindholm or Zadorov. All the guys that made important plays during that time are still on the team, the dead weight (sorry Ilya) are gone. I also think we have to acknowledge that under Tocchet a lot of the players have really turned their game around, who is to say the same won't be done for Debrusk or the other new acquisitions? Regardless, we'll have to see, as a fan I sure am going to miss Lindholm and Zadorov, but it was unrealistic that the team could keep them simply because of cap limitations.
