Kariya and Selanne joining them was quite the coup, shame it didn’t ultimately pan out.

  2. miner88

Derick Brassard being here feels like it’s cheating a bit. Dude lived out of a suitcase his whole career.

  3. randomuser1817

Theo Fleury not playing on every team: challenge impossible

  4. ZealousidealNobody60

    Can’t forget about Iginla.

  5. chungathebunga

Could have sworn Shattenkirk played for longer then that. Good list! I enjoyed Turgeon while he was here. Always remembered his behind the net goal that he bounced off of the goalies leg.

    >Fedor Tyutin 2016-17

Wow, for some reason that’s a big throwback name for me. If someone told me he retired in 2012, I would have believed them.

  7. Inevitable_Goose_435

I’d add Ryan Smythe to the list. Loved the guy but it was weird not seeing him in an Oilers jersey

  8. rumbrave55

Fluery was late to jersey day so he got stuck with the goalie cut

  9. Spladook

I feel like Ken Klee has been on all of these so far

  10. rastark08

I actually hate this memory for obvious reasons… but Brad May was once an Av. Maybe not most unusual but most despised to be sure, yes?

  11. AwesomeIslander918

I thought Dubnyk played more games than that

  12. MattRB_1

Wow I had no idea Kurri, even played that late into the 90s .

  13. superschaap81

I forgot about Kurri and Briere for sure. Andreychuck having a cup of coffee is familar to me, but kinda not?

Rolston and Kasperitis were also guys I had no idea even stopped there.

  14. nystrom19

Pierre Lacroix was a wizard. Avs were so lucky to have him.

  15. LifesHighMead

I loved watching Kasparitis play. That man could lay a hit.

  16. fastmovingcars

I was half expecting to see Mikkel Boedker here. I was so stoked when we acquired him but the team stunk that year (2016) and didn’t make the playoffs.

  17. GoBlue81

I liked Brian Rolston. Probably would have played a lot longer for the Avs if he wasn’t traded for Ray Bourque.

  18. TheLateFry

Does Joe Watson qualify when the Colorado Rockies moved to New Jersey?

  19. DonnieRoss

Boychuk of all guys got me. When did THAT happen?

  20. _redacteduser

Dang I almost forgot Danny B was on the Avs for a hot minute. These lists are great!

  21. rwags2024

Did we ever get an on ice photo of Vincent Damphousse in Avs gear? Or did he retire over the lockout – I can never remember how that went

  22. Ironman9518

That Joe Watson one is very strange. Dude is the most Flyer guy ever. Literally just suited up for an alumni game at 80 years old

  23. fyurious

I know Owen Nolan was a Nordique so it may not count, but he only played 9 games in an Avs uniform.

  24. madproof

I can’t believe Kurri was only one season. I played hockey with his kid (and a few other Avs kids), I swear he was on my team longer than one year. Wonder if maybe the kids stayed in Colorado after that season?

EDIT: nm, Kurri retired after that year, they must have kept living here for a while.

  25. Square_Saltine

Hey now Avs drafted Shattenkirk, nothing weird about that. I was so excited for him to finally make the team only to get traded half way through his rookie year.

  26. BlackFalconEscalator

If you have Rockies representation- could put Lanny there too

  27. I’m surprised Dale Hunter didn’t make the cut.

  28. Key-Tip-7521

Kariya and Selanne on the avs was a weird sight

  29. IvalonShlong90

I think Iginla should have made your list.

  30. Consistent-Time9325

No Ray Bourque? I know he’s a highly publicized/name in the rafters guy but it doesn’t make him an unusual player for that team.

  31. Codazzle

Lol at that Fleury card. 15 GP in an Avs jersey, and they managed to use a picture against the Flames

  32. _icedcooly

No Darren Helm? Was drafted and played most of his career with Detroit.
