I don’t think caulfied will ever hit 50 goals in his career. I think in general he is at best a second line right wing. I’m gonna assume demidov will be your first line when he adjust to the nhl. I think Suzuki is most likely a second line center. Slav is a first line winger.
I’m with you on Utah, I don’t see why they don’t make the playoffs.
Calder I’m thinking Shane wright or poitras but wolf could be there.
As a Devils fan, I can only hope that Markstrom has a Vezina type year
My Bold Predictions:
1. The Edmonton Oilers win the presidents trophy
2. At least one of the Atlantic's "Big 4" (Leafs, Bruins, Panthers, Lightning) miss the playoffs
3. Stamkos has a 100 point season and Nashville wins the Central
4. Utah narrowly makes the playoffs
5. The Capitals finish top 3 in the Metro, and Ovechkin comes within 10 goals of breaking Gretzky's record
6. The Penguins implode and the Crosby negotiations fall apart, leading to him getting traded and the Penguins finishing bottom 5 in the league
7. The Los Angeles Kings miss the playoffs and Rob Blake gets fired at the end of the season
8. Mike Sullivan is the first coach to get fired
9. The New Jersey Devils make it to at least the Conference finals

If Caufeild scores 50 that means Montreal wins 30 games in OT. He only scores PP and 3 on 3 goals. His shot is useless in 5 on 5 because any NHL player can just push him off the puck like a child.

As an optimistic habs fan who wants nothing more than for Caufield to be a 50 goal scorer, I dont think he clears 35. I watched him every game last year, and unless he is fully 100% recovered from his injury and last year was just a result of his recovery, he missed way too many chances to be a 50 goal scorer. 30+ is my expectation and hope for him. As the team gets better, he might hit 40 or 50 in a couple years.

The thing is about Caufield is that he definitely can be a 50 goal guy but this past season at Louis did say he wanted to teach him more of the game then just goals so in the future he can do it all so he tried getting him to pass more and also play a lot more defensive just for last year and he said he was proud so that means this year hopefully he will go back to his old self and be an all around good player with also lots of goals

Prediction: Nick Suzuki will lead the Habs in points total again this year, just as he has for the last 3 seasons. He should be good for 85 to 90 points. Suzuki had 77 points last year, far ahead of anyone else and he plays stellar defense – a complete 200 foot player.. Nick Suzuki is still one of the most underrated players in the NHL

I’m not a fan or anything but for some reason I just feel like the Blue Jackets will be good this season and make the playoffs. I couldn’t tell you why I just have a gut feeling. It feels so random though
Sorry, but Chi will be near the basement again. Aside from a couple obvious garbage teams who do you really think they will be taking points from? My BOLD prediction is the Kings get into the playoffs in the last wild card spot just ahead of the Jets, Utah, Seattle and Blues.
If Caufield’s shoulder is finally back at 100% … he’s got a legitimate chance at 35-40 goals, 40+ depends on Suzuki and Slafkovsky both taking a few steps up simultaneously and for the PP to be over 20%.
50 is bold, Caufield improved sufficiently his passing that having 50 goals would pretty much means a 1 point per game as well and for that to happen we’re talking about 90 pts+ for Suzuki and 75 pts+ for Slaf.
