Podz and hogz probably on their way out for d help. Podz won’t fetch much if at all but if they package hogz and Podz together then maybe!
Anything over a 5 yr contract is too long for any player.

Re: Konecny: he's only 27 yo so maybe it's a good move by Flyers to lock him up for 8 y. He had 33G, 35A, for 68 pts last season and is just approaching his prime years. Good signing for Briere.
Re: Demidov: as a lifelong Habs fan I'd LOVE to see Demidov in a Habs uniform THIS SEASON but I agree that is seeming more unlikely.
Re: Nic Robertson: if he stays in TO he'll be in/out of the lineup and it will be a waste of his talent. I hope he moves as he seems to have some decent talent and needs to play to develop his full potential.
Re: Laine: he's "mystery meat". I'd love to see him rejuvenate his career but I worry he may have lost his MOJO. Time will tell.

Travis koenecny is worth every bit of $8.5 million per season when a clown like dubois received that from the kings last year, for a guy who's known to be a cry baby and lazy….ask torts.
At 1st glance, and based on stats alone, the Konecny deal seems high, but he brings all lot of other qualities and character traits that up the ante. I have no doubt that he will be their next Captain. I'm amazed any teams have any interest in Laine at all. CBJ would have to retain 50%, then a 3rd team in the mix to retain some salary as well for teams to even think about it.
Any team that wants Zegras should know the cost is a Cutter Gauthier +. Think about it, they could have kept Drysdale if they were so low on Zegras
From rumors that leafs linked to free agents F Cal Clutterbuck and C/RW Gerald Mayhew and ex leaf LW Matt Martin as PTO tryouts targets and all three players have same signing agent that Patrick Morris who Brad treliveing his history with Patrick Morris is Sean Monahan signing Agent too if true or not we will see?
And from trade rumor that leafs trying to aquire LW/RW Alexey Toropchenko and 3rd in 2025 and 4th in 2026 and F prospect for Nick Robertson and Calle Järnkrok if true or not we will see?
Zegras = overrated. worth a 2nd round pick and a prospect

Zegras is regressing. He started out great and been slowly getting worse since. I don't see the point in getting a player that will keep getting worse.
Why would anyone think that Konecny signing is too high?? Look around the league at similar players..Konecny is a Great leader, most likely the next captain, can score, plays with grit..i dont think its too high personally and im definitely NOT a Flyers fan.

I'm fine with the TK contract. AAV isn't bad. Imo, he's a good horse to bet on. I wouldn't be surprised to see Briere sign Cam York long term now that the TK deal is done. It's clear they're sold on him. Both he and TK have really grown and developed under Torts. The only one who hasn't is Farabee, whose contract I'd like to be rid of. Thanks for the vids!

Konecny is a good signing, he's still relatively young and the signing brings a little stability into the team, imo.
Personally i'd like to see Laine being traded to Vegas.
Know its highly unlikely, but i think it would be a good fit both for Vegas and him…
Alternativ would be Rangers….him on the top line with Kreider and Zib…think that would bring out the better of him again…
But again, not very likely i know…
Its so interesting to me that, just because Laine is huge, doesnt mean he can just play a certain way, he is a pure goal scorer so lean into that
Hoglander needs to go. He's not a heavy hitter, and isn't built for the 4th line. On the other hand, Podkolzin is bigger, heavier, and can play a heavy defensive game. I'd honestly let Hoglander go for picks, I can't stand the kids game
North Americans going to Russia to play is shameful IMO. A country run by a murderous tyrant.
Anyother who thinks hoglander is on his way out is crazy, just rumors for clicks. If he does what he did last year finishing top 10 5 on 5 goals then his contract has tons of value.
More likley podkolzin is trade unless he breaks out
