Easy. 5, 19, 22, and 31. Not only the greatest isles and all time greats with best goal scorer ever, best two way center, best d man not named orr, and best clutch playoff goalie before isle coach. Of course you would need like 3 mt. rushmore's to fill the dynasty. 9, 27, 23, 91. Then 14, 6, 21/12 and 26/7. Bow tie, al, barry lead the coach/gm mt. rushmore. And how about the non-dynasty isle mt. rushmore? Both 16's pat L. and palffy, 77 sneaky pete, and 3 kenny jonsson. Last 10 year isle mt. rushmore. 13, 29, 27, 8. Honorable mention-27 peca career shortened by cheap hit and 2 streit one of two isle d men to lead isles in scoring. 11 kaspar for the hitting job on mario, jagr pens in '93 playoff upset. And 1 glenn 'chico' who formed a nice duo in goal with 31 and threw the game 7 shut out at pens that completed the come back from 0-3 in '75 playoffs.

Good morning team! Gil, awesome subject, but it's an unfair question. Too many great players to choose from. The obvious, of course, are Potvin, Trottier, Bossy, and Smith. But how can we leave out Tonelli, the Sutter brothers, Nystrom, Gillies, Persson, Goring, Bourne, Morrow! I know I'm leaving some out, but at the time, this was one STACKED hockey team that just happened to have great chemistry with each other. Great players, not only on the Cup teams, but the other players through the Islanders history that never won a cup. Wow! I loved this. Thank you for making me think of this team again! If Bolduc isn't in the top 6 with the Islanders, and I don't expect he will be unless there is an injury, at least to begin the season, then I'd like to see him back in Bridgeport for the minutes and development in difference scenarios like PK and PP.
