    Emphasis on Seravalli doesn’t know the reason. Does not mean the canes said no

    I used to like Nate, but now it’s all about engagement. This is misleading at best, the deal was allegedly offered but there’s no answer as to why it fell through. The most likely answer is that Necas has no interest in going to Winnipeg, but could also be that Winnipeg got cold feet without a clear extension or the Canes aren’t liking in what they see in McGroarty. Knowing the team they also would not offer a guarantee to play at the NHL level for someone who hasn’t played a game yet.

    Anyone with a brain knows the canes didn’t actually say no to this.

    The return is exactly what we would want in a retool scenario and would give us a lot of options internally to build out our roster.

    Necas most likely told them he wouldn’t sign long term.

    This would have been a slam dunk for ET if he could have made it happen

    Hot take, but this would not have been a great deal for the Canes.
    Everything about McGroarty’s attitude scream he wouldn’t have signed here, so another Adam Fox situation.
    And Cole Perfetti is a good player, but not an immediate replacement for Necas.

    Nowadays thanks to social media everybody is a “reporter”. Meaning they have a podcast or a YouTube channel or a blog or on Twitter where they regurgitate what someone else has said. Basically they “report” what other Tweeters, YouTubers, podcasters, bloggers say in hopes it gets them clicks, likes, comments, subscribers. 🤷‍♂️
