I think this is a fair deal. Nico has shown flashes of greatness. I’m hoping we see more consistency. I know last year was tough coming off hip surgery and leaky defense.

So that means our goaltending cost will go down by about a million next season once Allen is gone. Daws will probably see a little NHL action this year but hopefully not much unless markstrom is hurt, then Daws should get quite a few starts to keep Allen under 42 for the year.

I like this deal. There’s something there when it comes to Daws, it’s just clear he’s not ready to be a starter, but he’s a good third option if we get into goalie hell again
