I went to this specific game because it was Cooch’s birthday and when I saw him get dangled I felt so sorry for him. Like Datsyuk really had to do it to him on his birthday

haha those two lines goes to show how players felt about facing him on the ice. Everyone just expects him to cast a spell on them. He really was very respected and for good reason.
edit: his line about even the home crowd going "ohhh" too – everyone loves a sick play even the opposition at home haha

I’m so thankful that I was able to grow up watching Pavs whole career as a Wings fan.
It took the crowd a moment to believe what had just happened. Wings fan here and I watched that game and I remember the crowd was so surprised it took them a second to figure out if they really just saw what they thought they saw.
Sharks fan, but I loved watching Pavel. He processed the game at such a high speed, his misdirection, his imagination with the puck was Art!
