Oduya and 1 GP with that professional pic is just so funny to me for some reason
BrandonIngeFan
Ryan Ellis only playing 4 games for them is mind blowing. Loved him when he was on the Spitfires
guyzieman
I’ll always remember Geoff Sanderson on the Flyers because of that one time he knocked Lundqvist out of a game with his slapper.
JiveChicken00
I guess Vinny Lecavalier played for us too long to make this list, but having him on the team never felt quite right.
a2godsey
Keith Yandles ironman night was the most electric I’ve ever seen the WFC. Absolutely amazing to witness that Flyers legend cross that premier milestone. The embodiment of a true cult hero.
DanTreview
Ah yes, Philly legend Ryan Ellis.
Now, whenever someone goes on LTIR, we say they’re lampooned on « Ellis Island. »
Rook22Ti
I do NOT remember Kevin Stevens as a Flyer and I hate it.
I guess that’s why the Penguins responded by signing over the hill John Leclair, which I image we’ll be seeing soon.
realdeal411
Gave up a ton for Adam Oates and we lost in the first round IIRC. I feel like we had a revolving door from 2000 to 2004 with the supporting cast.
Shoutout to Bruce Cowick and his 0 regular season games
Cheap_Calendar_501
There is nothing unusual about Jagr being on any team tbh
Farfignewtons42
I’m glad Max Talbot wasn’t included, did not feel like crying today
whogivesashirtdotca
What’s up with the jersey in the Zhitnik photo? It looks like a sleep-deprived Flyers logo.
ScSM35
I swear Talbot and Gill played more than 4/6 games. Weird how memory works.
ArcanumAntares
Paul Coffey, 96-98, 94 games played, 55pts.
That was a weird stint.
miah_the_bee
I look forward to seeing these posts everyday! Question though… why do so many guys play on the unusual team for only a handful of games? Im sure there’s a multitude of reasons but any insight is appreciated.
Krispyford
I always used to grab Hal Gill in the video games back in the day. No matter which team I picked in GM Mode, he was always a budget free agency pickup. He was great for the third pair or as a 7th D.
NatalieDeegan
Keith Yandle’s year with Philly at the end was one of the worst players I’ve ever seen play. No way he gets that record if Torts is the coach that year.
Would have rather seen Cogliano get it, he would have been healthy and played good enough the supposed year he would have got it.
ja211
It seems like Cam Talbot has been on every single team
bananafone7475
Fun fact, Robert Esche’s nickname was ‘Chico’ because Glenn ‘Chico’ Resche. On Robert’s sticks, it would say ‘R. Esche’, so the Chico nickname stuck.
GeorgeOrwells1985
Sharp was drafted by Philly, nothing unusual about him being in a flyers jersey at all
sasksasquatch
Still remember Hawerchuk getting lit up by Konstantinov in the SCF.
dpolidoro
My man! Thank you! There were a couple that I didn’t remember until seeing them here. Good stuff, man!
MichaelMaugerEsq
My favorite hockey jersey that I own is an og Adam Oates black flyers jersey. Sometimes I just like imagining the guy (or gal) who was so jazzed up in Oates in 2002 that (or she) went out and bought the jersey right after the deadline. Only for the season to die a fiery death and Oates to run out of Philly as fast as he could.
Tome_Bombadil
Derian Hatcher probably played top long, but is a wtf for me.
johnnylawrwb
No one looked better in Flyers orange than the human pylon Hal Gill.
octoroklobstah
Bruins legend Alexei Zhamnov, surprised he wasn’t on that list tbh. Huge bummer what happened to him.
AutoDeskSucks-
Gill and Pronger would have been a menace of a d pairing
ImmySnommis
I kinda expected to see Babych here. Like 30 something games?
toupis21
Vinny Prospal could be added here
Edmoiler13
Expected a lot more goalies
YoungFuel
Patrick Sharp? Really never knew he played for the flyers before the hawks
dave6687
Jagr and Talbot signing with philly was like hulk hogan joining nwo
MerryBrickmass
TIL Oduya played for the flyers lol
miner88
Kris Versteeg would have also fit here
aem61933
I wanted to see Kris Versteeg on here!
LunarGhoul
Petr Mrazek is another one that I always forget had a stint on the Flyers
TimeShade
Sharp was literally drafted by Philly, how is that unusual?
Finest_Johnson
But it’s the games that Keith Yandle DIDN’T PLAY that are the most significant.
Crashmaster007
My Jagr Flyers jersey is one of my favorites. Got me many free drinks when I wore it to the NHL Global Series game in Prague.
About900babies
You cannot tell me Martin Jones wasn’t here for 3 years
spkris1
Martin jones doesn’t look right, like why isn’t 35 retired already, not just in philly but earth wide, Steve mason was literally the greatest goalie of all time
tobybells
Tony Amonte!
killcobanded
Is Sharp on the Flyers odd for people? Guy played in the famous Sens v Flyers brawl, most PIM in a single game in history.
RomanRugby
Patrick Sharp isnt that unusual. He was drafted to the Flyers and was developed with the Philadelphia Phantoms. His games played as a Flyer was stunted by the NHL lockout in 2005. So technically he played in Philly for about 3.5 years.
montrealcowboyx
Sam Gagner is the most « He’s what, 24? » and « He’s been in the League since 2002, no? » guy all-time in the NHL.
ConnectWithWood
I’ll always be sad about Max Talbot
Disastrous_Emu_3628
5 more players you could have added: Nikolai Zherdev, Chris Stewart, Derick Brassard, Kris Versteeg and Rob Ramage. Overall, still an interesting post!
MadFlava76
Damn there were some deep cuts in this one. Had no idea that Petr Nedved had a stint with the Flyers.

For the Ottawa list the biggest name I forgot was Hašek. Who’s the biggest name I missed on this one?

I swear Jagr was on the team longer.
