   They don’t care about representing the state, they care about money. NFL and MLB merch sells better than NHL merch, which probably doesn’t even sell at all in this particular store.

   I’ve actually come across a couple Devils hats at Walmart before, and was pretty surprised to see them amongst all the Yankees and Giants merch.

   Though I wonder if it’s more of a general NHL thing, because I don’t think I’ve ever seen Rangers stuff at a Target/Walmart. Then again, I don’t tend to look in these sections because they typically look like this picture 😅

   Assuming this is Walmart by the looks of it, Target is even worse. They actually have NHL shirts and stuff, only it’s exclusively rags merch

   To be fair, I don’t see stuff for ANY NHL (or NBA) teams in that photo, or for that matter don’t see anything for any non-New York metro area teams. I only see Giants, Jets, Yankees, and Mets apparel.
