  1. Reading a reddit thread from 4 years ago, the opinion of Aaron Portzline amonsgt Columbus fans isn't all that great.

Now he just threw 4 guys under the bus to undermine 2 more guys.

    Great reporting.

  2. Seems like Laine was a victim of 2 toxic locker rooms. We all know Winnipeg was toxic with the likes of Wheeler and Shieffle. Seems Columbus had the same with at least 3 Bluejackets. Toxic people are always envious of people that are talented and confident. Easy to see why a guy like Laine would be targeted. This is really great news for the Habs. If Laine wasn't the problem then he will love it in Montreal. He will actually get support there. We will find out by Laine's production this year. Cheers

  3. Some Terrible teammates in Columbus and Winnipeg. Hopefully our guys aren’t asses and Laine has learned how to deal with bad teammates if the habs have some rotten ones.

  4. And that poison is now in the habs locker room, oh joy. I have no doubt a similar meeting was done in Winnipeg as well but it never really got out into the public. If there are multiple players making such claims then there is smoke and likely some fire. The bad attitude on and off ice that Laine seems to have will disrupt the rebuild chemistry if he brings that to Montreal. But virtually no Habs fans will even care. The imaginary 40+ goals he will get each year are more then enough compensation for a damaged locker room that could affect everyone else both in the room and on the ice. It is brutal that the Blue Jackets would sacrifice their core at the time to compensate for 1 guy. To say he was great in 20/21 is a bit of a leap leap since he was paid to score and average 0.52/pts per game for the season. Respectable sure but not exactly elite offence during that stretch. I am really curious what research they did at all outside of having a conversation with Laine who would be incentivized to embellish. Or even depending on exactly how it was handled maybe Laine to his benefit wasn't even aware of what was going on. Since they shipped everyone out of town.

  5. Suzuki's locker room is a 12 out of 10. Those guys bleed for each other. Truly lifetime friends even if/when some get traded.

  6. The amount of mental gymnastics by Habs fans to try and make Laine a victim is amazing. Good luck with this dude. It's pretty well documented he isn't a great team player and has baggage

  7. Sounds like it was some major off issues that aren't being reported…some times people makes mistakes and they need a full restart versus constantly trying to show you have changed

  8. The Columbus scouts must be terrible. Dubois was terrible, traded for Laine. And now Laine needed to be moved. Or the GMs are asking the wrong people about their behavior

  9. All this goes to show that Laine was right. Why stay on a team of cry babies and a management that can't make wise decisions.

  10. Last time I ever see this channel of my YT feed .. keep playing your video games till you're 90 .. what a fkn LOSER.

  11. The Jets veterans ran anyone with a personality out of town starting with Kane. It fractured that locker room to the point where the coach up and quit the team.

If this happened in 2020-2021, it isn’t surprising Laine is still there and the like of Jones and Atkinson are gone. CBJ just acquired Laine that year and instead mod making a player feel welcome, they are trying to run him out of town?

Edit: I also think this falls on coaching. Torts was the coach. Laine isn’t a Torts type guy obviously, but the likes of Jones and Atkinson are. Torts was gone by next year, as was Atkinson and Jones.

  12. Bad attitude or not, he didn't need to say he want to be a 40/50 goal scorer. Call me crazy all you want, if he score a lot, he's gonna become a GOD for Mtl fans so… I see up to 100 pts THIS SEASON! Unless he goes back to his bad attitude. We'll see. One thing for sure, next season is the last year of his contract so motivation should be there…

  13. It’s been a long known fact that Laine is a cancer anywhere he goes. He tried to railroad Connor in Winnipeg and CBJ he was able to make every teammate hate him.

  14. No wonder hockey players don't want to go to Columbus to play. I am glad that most of the players involved have been traded. I wonder if this becomes a problem for Elvis Merzlikins and Zack Werenski as well as the organization as a whole.

  15. I dunno, call me nuts but any team that employs Torts and Babs and expects harmony in the locker room needs to reassess their hiring practices.
