  1. kekelinen screwed this franchise when he went all in the year u beat tampa….it was memorable but set u back no good

  2. Best of luck Don! Columbus fans deserve to see the team move in the right direction. As a habs fan who had to deal with years of a trainwreck I really hope its done the right way.

  3. There is one missing question…What are you intend to do with Elvis? Journalists are nice in Columbus!

  4. a fair trade for both teams, #HABS gain top 6 scorer they needed and can afford to pay 2nd rnd pick for HARRIS who was a 3rd rnder = fair trade.

  5. With all the money saved from the Laine trade on the cap, the Jackets should sign goalie Jeremy Swayman to an offer sheet. The Bruins are so cheep, I doubt they’d match it.

  6. Interesting for Bob to bring up Mateychuk. He kinda seems blocked with the Harris trade until we can unload Provorov at the deadline.

    Werenski – Severson ;-(
    Provorov – Jiricek
    Harris – Gudbranson
    Johnson

  7. Columbus, another small market. They will struggle down the road financially or be given money by league , escrow

  8. I feel sorry for Bluejacket players especially the ones drafted by the organization. I do hope Don Waddell can somehow turn around this organization. It is well known this ownership and management group has been a dumpster fire of mismanagement at all levels since the teams inception almost 25 yrs ago. A long list of players being traded out or signing elsewhere just getting the hell out of that organization. The fanbase deserves much better. Just look at the draft picks over the years. Many years you wont see a well known hockey name. What really has the Bluejackets meant to the quality of the NHL except just a date on the schedule for 31 other teams…….

  9. How bad is the Columbus Bluejackets? New GM Waddell said first thing he did was contact all the players and asked if they want to be there????? Millionaire under 30 yr olds that play a game for a living and need to be asked if they want to do it on that team? Ownership may want to address what they are doing wrong and what management has done wrong to every player that came to this organization cause something is absolutely off.

  10. Loving what I hear about the handshake between Don and Dean in this interview. If you look at successful rebuilds across all sports, a common theme is the GM and coach being on the same page about what types of players to acquire and how they should be deployed.

We're far off from the playoffs still but I have hope that this duo can get us back sooner rather than later!
