Went pretty hard into the boards with his shoulder. Looks similar to when Jack hurt his shoulder the first time last year. Hope he’s alright

Everyone take a deep breath. Not good news but let’s wait and see. Thank goodness the devils addressed goaltending and defense this year. Don’t forget we still have Kovacevic as a 7th defenseman.

At least we still have like 5 weeks till the season. But god damn are injuries the most annoying part of sports
He isn’t back for the third period which fair enough.
Waiting until we get some actual news of what the injury is and if there’s a timeline or something.
Still a little over a month until the season starts so time for him to heal up if it’s a week to week.
Otherwise we have not only Kovacevic who is solid but also Hatakka who was solid in the few appearances he had last season.

I wonder if the equipment could be made to reduce or prevent collarbone or shoulder injuries from impacts like that? Looks like he knew that would be a multi-week injury, kicking his skates in frustration.
Trying not to overreact and keep perspective in light of recent events today, but yeah this stinks and this team does not need another injury riddled season, please. I’m glad they have depth at least, Hatakka, Kovacevic, DeSimone and even Casey is there. Trying to stay positive, hopefully it’s nothing serious and Nemec is ok.
