Alright I am wrong but at the same time I knew but not surprised Leon Draisaitl signed at 14 million for 8 years, great deal I thought 12 to 13 but that's OK.. he's an Oiler for life and now McDavid probably will get 16.5 and Bouchard 9 or 10 million dollars that's still under the projected amount on one of the source I look at and it's seems like It might be right to sign all three that's under 49 million but if it goes depends on Bouchard that's still under 40 million to there 100 million good job Oilers can't wait for this season to come and have 7 players to be over 30+ goal scorers Oiler for life

While I was hoping he'd differ 500K per year to year 9. It would have still had him be the highest paid player BUT 4 million would have been paid in year 9 and AAV would have been 13.5. We take it as it comes. Honestly I'm just glad it's done. Now there is Bouch this year to get done and McDavid and Stuart Skinner next year.

Finally! I think most people were expecting $13-14M AAV so no surprise with the deal, especially considering his current contract is the best deal going.
Since Bouchard's contract will expire next summer, I would hope something gets worked out before then. He'll likely get an offer sheet if he repeats last season's success.

I don't think it's a discount, but he deserves it. I was expecting 13.25 to 13.5M, but that 0.75 to 0.5M probably will not break the bank in the next few years.

I think this is a bad move. We could have gotten decent Dmen, top 6 center, and signed another goalie. Probably some picks and a top prospect. I love him, but that's too much. They won't have room for anything else. So it's win it this year or never.
