I actually dont dissagree mabey 2 or 3 seasons ago id have put Fox in the top 3 or 4 but i dont think there is any reason for shame or outrage being top 10 in the league.
Yeah fox is definitely not even top 10 anymore. He’s always hurt. Maybe if he was healthy he’d be top10. But he’s always hurt when we need him the most.
All that matters is the cup!
The pundits are obsessed with Charlie McAvoy without cause. Every year he is talked about as a top Norris Candidate. I think he is a solid defensemen, but I also think he is one of the most overrated.
The knee injuries set Fix back a bit last year. He can rebound. He may never be as offensive as Makar or Hughes, but he is well more rounded.
These lists are subjective & sort of reflect the last season probably. Makar is hands down the best D in the league. I don't know if I would put Fox at #2, but as crazy as people would think it seems, I wouldn't trade Fox for Quinn Hughes. The guy who is really rated badly is Noah Dobson. He should be much higher. I was crossing my fingers Rangers would draft him, but they very stupidly drafted Kravtsov.
It's a fair assessment because he has no physical component to his game !

I think Fox being ranked as the 8th overall best defensemen is fine. I have no argument with that list. When Cale is healthy he is pretty much unstoppable, Quinn had a breakout season last year which doesn't surprise me. This is actually a very solid top 10 rankings list which I'm actually surprised by lol.
If Aho and Jarvis don’t knee check him he’s top three!

A healthy Adam Fox is in the top there any day of the week! Definitely right up there with Cale for offense and I think he’s super underrated defensively being a smaller stature. He can hit and as we all know he uses his hockey IQ to outplay the opponents.
The list for me is: 1. Makar, 2. Fox, 3. Heiskennen 4. Josi 5. Forsling 6. Hughes 7. Hedman 8. Seider 9. Slavin 10. Montour
Although they are not as great, I also think that Makar is new Orr, Fox is new Leetch, Heiskennen is new Neidermeyer, Forsling/Hedman is new Lidstrom, Hughes is new Bourque, Josi is new Coffey
We can argue all day where Fox belongs in this list … how about the other 2 top defenseman on the Rangers ? The captain and Miller where do they rank? I’d say pretty low on the list which maybe a good reason for changes. Just saying
