6′ 2″ 203lbs, 29yo righty dman who spent last season on 3 different KHL teams. The former 2nd round pick of the Caps in 2013 skates well and moves the puck well, but hasn’t quite figured out how to be an NHL defender. If he sticks with the organization, he could be a decent option for the right side of Hartford’s blueline.

Always funny when the reporter profile photo comes up
“They gave this guy a PTO???”

3 teams in 1 season doesn’t sound promising at all.

Not gonna think too much or blow a gasket over PTO signings, but when you see who NYR brings in on PTOs (Erne, Bowey) and then you see who other teams are bringing in on PTOs (Yamamoto, Lindstrom), it begs a question: what is the criteria/means of assessment used to decide who to bring in and who to not bring in…
Ultimately these guys are most likely just numbers to fill camp, so it’s whatever, but we’ve seen what can happen when you bring in a guy with underrated talent/analytics on a PTO (Vesey), so don’t just grab *anybody* off the street, because there’s still actual NHL talent floating around if you know where to look
If you’re gonna buy a Mega Millions lottery ticket, at least buy one that actually has numbers on it
