  1. The Leafs do realy have a lot of fans. Here in Europe. Its the most liked team next to the bandwagon fans of the Bruins.

  2. Thanks for making this.
I live in Sweden and have been a Leafs fan since '73 after Salming started playing for them.
Lost contact with the sport while living in Japan for 18 years but got the spirit back last year, after going to Canada for a week. There is so much stuff in this clip that I would not have found out about without your help.

Thank you so much fo ALL the great videos you make.

     Go Leafs Go !

  3. Love love ❤️ Toronto. Hockey Hall of Fame, Gretzky's Restaurant, Air Canada 🇨🇦 Center, Toronto Bluejays, The Diner on Young Street. Love the underground mall, love all the sports bars. Just a great great city. Toronto Brooklyn ❤️ U! Brent great job on this. Love u too ur great and so is this channel.

  4. The Arenas didn't suspend operations for 1918-19 not sure where that idea came from.

  5. For the record the leafs didn’t rightfully loose to L.A in 93, the reffing lost that game for the Buds , yes I’m still bitter

  6. what a great video, amazingly explained and gives me so much more knowledge on the leafs!

  7. I always wonder did Toronto regrets trading there 1st round picks in 91, 97 & 10 ? They turned out to be Scott Niedermayer, Roberto Luongo & Tyler Seguin

  8. In this quarantine I want to give my congratulations for the narration of this team's history… a clear speech and also it makes very interesting…more knowledge for a person who doesn't know too much about ice hockey… greetings from Chile.

  9. 3:33 There is no "Maple Leaf Regiment". How that story started, I don't know. The maple leaf has been a symbol of Canada since the early 18th century. The style of this particular maple leaf in the team's logo comes from the general list cap badge of the Canadian Expeditionary Force of WW1, which Conn Smythe was a part of.
4:01 Early proposal drawing for promotional/investment purposes. Plans were later scaled back. It was the Great Depression, after all. Ironically, the tower you see in that drawing also wasn't built (Eaton's College Street store)

  10. This video gets information about the maple leafs wrong.. some incorrections just wanna point that out.. for example in 1999 Maple Leafs lose to the Buffalo Sabres in the conference finals.. and the toronto maple leafs have played in every single season since 1917-1918.. their might be more incorrections…

  11. The real reason Smyth changed it was because he was a monarchist and a Protestant. Anything Irish was seen as holding republican values

  12. 60 plus years of mediocre hockey, horrible history with no real great players unlike the montreal canadians
