Love the guy, but at least once a game I’d be screaming at him to shoot the good damn puck. Even his goals looked like he was passing it into the net. He might not have actually had the worst shot, but you gotta use it man!
Just going statistically, I looked for forwards with the most shots and the worst shooting %. Shoutout to Colton Sceviour and Gregory Campbell, each with 500-ish shots during their time in Florida and a sub-6% shooting percentage, which is abysmal for a forward.
Yandle would frequently take wrist shots from the blue line. He has my vote. Ekblad has also regressed a lot and there was a period of time last season where he was breaking 1-2 sticks per game because he couldn’t get a shot off without clapping the ice too hard. It’s either Yandle or Ekblad for me. Marc Staal also had a terrible shot.
Gudbranson. One of the worst shootings percentages in franchise history. 11 goals in 5 seasons for a top drafted defenseman who was supposed to have at least some offensive upside.
Colton Sceviour has my vote. I know there’s another that I’m not thinking of that used to drive me nuts during the Jokinen era though.
Kulikov?
He was a defenseman so take it with a grain of salt but didn’t Jay bouwmeester break an NHL record at the time with us for most shots taken without a goal
I see alot of people I agree with so I’ll toss one out not mentioned yet. Young Owen Tippett was incredibly frustrating. The amount of times I heard Goldie say he was just wide of the net was infuriating
