Lou is keeping Martin fresh as a favor to him so other teams see him as an option.
Love what Martin has done in the past, but it’s time for him to move on. Maybe a coaching or office job with the team. He doesn’t need to play in an Islanders uniform anymore. Maybe even Bridgeport 🤷♂️. Hopefully the injury to Sorokin is as minor as Lou says, but I don’t follow the logic of bringing in another goaltender if Sorokin will be back soon.

I guess all you guys saying Matt Martin isn’t needed are blind to the fact that every single contending team has an enforcer..it’s still needed…until we get a Matt Rempe or a Reeves we can’t let Lee our freaking Captain do our fighting!!! Although Lee is an oak tree he isn’t an enforcer..so I’m happy Martin will be available when needed.
