  1. Just finished watching the highlights and Lekkerimaki did not disappoint. He took every chance that he got and should have had at least 1 goal. Right handed and loves to shoot the puck. It's early days and he still needs to prove he can skate and battle at the NHL level, but on the offensive side you have to think the coaches love this kid's raw material.

  2. He’s so nasty with the puck. Easily could’ve had 5 goals tonight. Raty, Sasson, Kudryatsev and EP26 will all be players on this team some day.

  3. Lemarimaki shmarimaki. This does nothing for the Canucks. Dallas and Edmonton own the West.

  4. I say give him the 9 day NHL tryout send him to Abby if he can't cut it at the NHL level.

  5. Good to see someone putting the hilights together and offering up some notes.
As for Lekkerimaki who I watched closely last year this great showing doesn't surprise me at all i expected it as I was higher than anyone on him making the jump quickly.
Even better than all these hilights there were several more clever plays and passes Lekkerimaki made last night where you can see when Lekkerimaki gets the chance to play with the Miller's and Peteys of the Canucks he's going to elevate his and his linemates game because of his highest elite level talent and IQ he has in his arsenal and those players are on a different level and need similar players to be their best.
As for making that kind of leap as a kid his age it's not a worry when any Grade A prospect is the best of the best and has a great awareness of defensive responsibilities and is smart about turning pucks over and with JL you can see he already has that part of the game figured out and implements it which makes me respect this kid even more.

Get excited fellow Canucks fans we have an elite top line player coming that's going to be Petey good and I think even better as funny as that sounds.

  6. OMG.. OK I understand this vid was made thru the eyes of a Canucks homer but seriously "dazzles" is no where close to how the kid performed?? Stretching the truth at best. Plus looking at the lineup it wasnt much of a prospect Canuck team by age. Go ahead and ice an AHL team against a prospect team from Edmonton

  7. I thought Raty looked great last night as well. Was all over the ice defensively and set up a number of opportunities.

  8. So maybe petey's winger has been here the whole time? With Sprong, Heinon, DeBrusk, Lekk, Hog there are more viable wing options than Kuz and Mik.

  9. Always good to see the young talent coming up through the league. Makes it a little seeing the end for guys like Pavelski. The Canucks draft record seems to be shying away from drafting Canadians, at least in the first round. Not sure that is always the best approach.

  10. Disagree with Romani take. He was the better player of all non AHL guys
