    >Right at the end of the show Marty said he received a text from Dreger this morning with an update on the Krebs situation.

    > »His people are telling him there hasn’t been much negotiating happening for the better part of a month now. It’s not moving along as fast as the Krebs side would hope, but he [Dreger] said it may take a little bit longer and we’re at a standstill right now. »

  2. How much negotiation do you need with a guy who’s gonna make 10% more than league minimum for one or two years on a one way deal

Krebs most likely wants more money and is blaming his crappy linemates for his low production

How much could Krebs be asking for that he can’t work out a deal? Him and his agent can’t expect a big contract in money or term when he still has a lot to prove at the NHL level.

Maybe Krebs is looking at 8.5M unused cap and wants a bigger piece of pie ? Same reason I was surprised UPL’s contract went as smoothly as it did. If you can pay Gus 2M you can pay Krebs 1.5M which from his perspective is 2x his QO. KA wants players that want to be here so idk why they don’t just throw the kid a bone. Yes his offense has sucked but he’s got jam and has done all of the dumb things this club has asked him to do.

The dude had 4 goals in 80 games. He’s lucky to be at the NHL level at this point.

Krebs doesn’t have a choice. Either sign the QO or don’t play in the NHL. The same thing happened with Mitts a few years ago. Mitts signed his QO 3 weeks before the season started. Expect the same with Krebs.

all for a guy trying to get his money but like is he praying that someone offer sheets him for 1.5 or something? he’s got a lot to prove to be asking for more than qualifying

What’s likely happening is Adams wants him to sign for a very cheap multi year deal and krebs wants a 1 year deal.

The cynic in me is saying that pegula is seeing if he can make krebs the first guy to sign below league minimum

  10. This is so odd. Even if they are looking to add another player it would still make sense to keep Krebs so the 14th forward isn’t a prospect. Are they trying to trade him and he has a higher value without a contract?
