On Brock and his extension:

We know he’s made a home here and it’s clear from his ice time how highly the organization thinks of him. When a guy hits 40 goals and had never previously hit 30, how does that sort of explosion interact with how the club has to responsibly approach talks with that player?**

> Yeah, I think there are two sides to it. A player might be without an extension and might be hungry to prove that they deserve it. And with Brock, I’m happy that it looks like he’s going to be cleared here to attend training camp. He worked really hard this summer and it was a really unfortunate situation last year.

Allvin’s interviews are always a breath of fresh air. Honest and to the point, and is usually upfront about players, negotiations, etc.
The man comes across as a good leader, much like tocchet. And it’s attracting the types of players you need to win.
He’s not going to do the « kinda ran out of time » thing?
I fucking love how much Allvin pushes this club to be great instead of being content with good

Allvin may turn out to be one of the best GM’s we’ll ever have. He’s a leader in front of the mic.

Perhaps, and I realize that I’m going way out on a limb here, but perhaps ‘not wasting time’ might just be a tiny bit better than constantly running out of time. That’s just a wild guess, though.
Definitely read « We’re not going to waste any time here » in Patrik’s voice
That’s surprising, I expected him to say « we plan on having a slow start and making sure our prospects don’t develop »
Hope this means Lankinen is coming in the next 24 hours.
Lekkerimaki reminds me somewhat of a young Markus Naslund, not quite that level of skater and skinnier of course but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well he has carried the puck with speed on zone entries, made plays, board work, and seems to go hard both ways, moreso than Naslund even, but either way he’s definitely not just a shooter, lot more to his game than that.
