Wow guys……I’m sure you could have come up with a better storyline. This is very negative. He still has to transition into the AHL yet which will be a process. Just relax and focus on positivity.
Never liked this pick and fragility doesn’t help. Don’t see him being an NHL regular, much less an impact player.

I wasn't a fan of the pick because of who was still available (perreault, pellika) but it's still WAY too early to panic. The guy has an injury and has barely played any AHL games. I'll panic if he doesn't make any strides in the next year or two.
Honzek reminds me of the Jankowski pick all over again. It was a reach at 16 especially with players like Oliver Moore still on the board.
Honzek was such a strange first round pick, in such a deep draft year…
I hope Honzek does well, but I attended the 2023 draft, and I straight up told my friend I wanted anyone but Honzek, and then they took him and I was pissed. The fact that Perrault and ASP were still available and they still decided to take Honzek was baffling to me.
I’m hoping the AHL development team can take the next step in his development. They’ve had a pretty decent track record recently in this regard.

Honzek is a bust. I had no hope for him from the start. Terrible pick in my opinion
Anything with the last name Treliving or Button has been a complete disaster. How long do the Flames stick with their present scouting staff before they realize they have no clue how a player will translate. Make excuses all you want for Honzek, I have yet to see anything remotely resembling a player that translates to a future NHLer. Also someone in the organization needs to tell Parekh to stop playing with that lazy cocky arrogance he has shown so far in the rookie tournament. He has been horribly underwhelming. Not a good look for a supposed future star defenceman.
