Ruff on having the roster set going into camp said while he feels bad for the kids, there is a bigger need to get the team ready to play and due to that he is having NHL vs. NHL players in camp. Said the compete gets distorted when you have kids going up against NHL players with 4-5 years of experience and wanted to not have that happen.
This is a 180 from how Donny ran camp last year and they came out 0-2 to start the season. Starting out with the Devils twice, LA and then Florida I’m loving what Ruff is throwing down.
