Couple of things: 1) People laughed at me when I said Svechnikov was better than Barkov last year… 2) Are the Flames any good or what? They are so up and down. 3) Are the Canes really this good or are they feasting on inconsistent teams???

Brutal road trip for the Flames vs. some actual top-tier teams shows that changes need to be made if they indeed hope to contend. Bring Gio back for the stretch drive, dump some dead weight salary for a discounted E Kane and pending FA Hertl would be a start.

Good Grief! This entire southeast road trip is like one terribly difficult arcade game with ridiculously hard to kill bosses one after the other. The Flames just lost all their quarters and now the Canucks have to step up to the machine and see how they can do.

Calgary Flames… 🙃. Middle of the pack, if they work hard at it… If 🤔. Offence is one wave, if you can call it that… One wave that goes to the corner or behind the net. They're actually pretty good at scrumming behind the net and the corners. 🙃. But nothing much usually comes of that. No trailer gets a pass or even a look because there never is a trailer… They need some young blood that can jump up into the play and get some action to drive to the net…
