Amazing how hockey players in NHL all have two things in common, beards & missing teeth 😅
the "top line" was totally dominated. high danger chances were 5-1 for Chicago against them. scoreboard was 2-0 Chicago against them. expected goals was .60 Chicago, ,27 them ; they gave up big chance after big chance. Lalonde even tried to skew their performance favorably by deployment as it went on, he would throw them out against tired opponents at the end of long shifts, throw them out w possession, give them o-zone starts, give it to them on the rush, etc.
if the Kane version of that line had a game like that to start preseason they would be broken up immediately and not seen again for months, if ever.
if that is the top line the majority of the season, my official prediction is the team finishes in the lottery this year.
