I love Matheson a lot. And he had the experience that Lane doesn’t have yet… so while I’d like to see Hutson on PP1 I wonder if both could be there? Otherwise well our PP2 gets way more balanced and interesting with Matheson there

The Matheson disrespect is unreal lol
Dude was the 9th most productive defender in the NHL last year. He’s obviously not going 100% for preseason games, whereas Hutson has a lot more to prove and is giving a lot more effort.
They’re both amazing players but ain’t no way Hutson is taking his spot this year.

Matheson was third on the team in points with 62 as a d-man. I know we’re all excited for the prospects but let’s be real here; Matheson is still out #1 blue-liner.

Bottom line is, the team finished 27th on the PP last year..no player should be safe. Hutson will be QB1 sooner rather than later.
