  1. Good way to get a roster spot on a team he doesn’t want to be on. Send him to Dallas to play with his brother. You know it’s what he wants.

  2. Robertson knows Nylander doesnt like playing D so he gave him a push to get his butt back there.

  3. Oh noooo…. our most overrated and overpaid player who refuses to play defense but wants to be hailed as a superstar centre is going to be out for a while? Noooooo…. and we may need to replace him with someone who actually WANTS to play hard and be worth the money? Now having said that Robertson was both the hero & villain last night.

  4. I hope Nylander is okay. A concession, or brain injury, is serious not only from the obvious effect but also from the possibility of an impact on reaction time, emotional control and/or cognitive ability. In a sport where processing something 1/100th of a second faster than other players makes you elite this can be very serious.
Not being a Leafs fan I like how Berube laid on the discipline for Robertson's bonehead play. Nice to see the Leafs remain the same.

  5. The Leafs should be more worried that they only won 2-1 when they had most of their top players in the lineup and they were playing against a team of mostly 4th liners and AHL players, and a goalie who's playing only his first complete NHL game. The Leafs are once again going to be a source of great entertainment this season for everyone who isn't a Leafs fan.

  6. Almost looked like he was trying to give him a boost. I remember Mario used to do it to jagr. Or maybe vice versa. If anyone has any clue what I’m trying to say

  7. That’s a dangerous stretch of ice in today’s game. The play where Adam Johnson lost his life was similar.
The players are moving so fast that the lateral blue line movement makes for high speed chaos. Resulting in heads and skates often reaching the same height

  8. He was trying to boost him. If you’ve played the game and had it happen to you, it seems silly but it actually works. I had a guy on our team who did it all the time and you FELT your acceleration pick up! I believe Nylander thought it was a Hab and dove.
