Isn’t much analysis to be had really. Try to trade the players you can afford to lose the least. Tanev is the obvious choice. Yanni is the more painful choice as his versatility has helped us when players have gotten injured. I’m shocked the author didn’t go into more details about waiving Tanev. If he clears, he may be more appealing to another team. If he doesn’t, cool your problem is solved. May not be the best choice as waiving pros may not go over well in the locker room, but it could be a solution.

Yanni is more experienced and versatile so he would be easier to slot in somewhere due to an injury or trade value later. I love Turbo’s hustle but we need goals.

Tanev. Unpopular opinion, but wish we could trade or get rid someone like Burky or Schwartz. I love those guys just injury risk and them playing a full season seems to not happen

The cap crunch thing is over blown. Starting the season with 21 players isn’t the end of the world. At some point injuries will open up roster space. To start they will have both forwards and defense that fit under the cap to cover any short term injury. The Kraken will make a trade eventually, but it doesn’t need all this hand wringing.

You’d be dumb to keep tanev over gourde. It’s not really choice tbh.

Love the energy Tanev brings, he’s a battery for sure. Gourde is a better, more versatile player though.
