  1. it looks too much like last year's style of hockey, creating offense shouldn't be so hard and the other team shouldn't be able to win by only having 3 or 4 real good scoring chances through the whole game

Kane and Tarasenko doesn't really excite me tbh

  2. Kane tonight had 28-6 Corsi, 1.31 – 0.29 xGF/xGA; and was great at 5v5, wasn't just on the power play. If Lalonde had a spine he would be trying Larkin w Kane/Tarasenko or just switching Kane and Raymond. Kane is the most gifted offensive forward on the team.

  3. I hope Newsy holds players accountable for lack of effort and intensity during the season from Game 1. No fucks should be given about anyone's feelings whether it's a star or a depth guy if players are conspicuously showing shitty effort

  4. Lalonde needs to coach. That's what he was hired to do. If he does a repeat of last year as a coach, Stevie Y will need to grow a spine and fire him, if necessary. If the coaching were better last year, the Wings would have made the playoffs. I think a John Tortorella style of coaching would have gotten the Wings in the playoffs last year. Let's see what happens this season, especially if the Wings get on a horrific losing streak. Stevie Y didn't fire Lalonde when he probably should have last year after multiple losing streaks. Let's see what Stevie Y does this year with Lalonde, if Lalonde doesn't take responsibility on the loses.

  5. Folks don't need to react so big, so soon in their comments here. I understand that everyone is over missing playoffs but I'm pretty it's not even early days yet.
