Prime JVR, Komarov, and Kadri would be so nice on this current team. One of my favourite games of all time from an entertainment standpoint solely was when Kadri went full Bob Gainey on McDavid. And to add to that, JVR on the Bruins last year was heartbreaking.

That top 9 is honestly pretty good. Given what we now know about those players, Naz probably should have been 2nd line C and Bozie should have been 3rd line C but really there’s nothing wrong with that top 9 overall.

Twas a good growing forward group. Stud rookies backed up by vets. The D core was quite horrendous though and Freddy could’ve been bad or good, it’s hard to remember.
The only change I’d make, was do not fucking sign Marleau. He was a bad influence on the rookies, pesky vet telling those rookies to get the bag. Signed for too much for too long and management knew it. And cost us a 1st round pick to offload him.
