Why is this being posted here? Are we supposed to make fun of this??? I’m sure if we lost game 7 in that fashion our leaders would be pretty emotional as well. I’m all on the oilers hate train, and specifically the mczitface hate train, but this is pretty pathetic as a franchise if we’re supposed to laugh and mock this as I’ve already seen many flames pages do.

This will get downvoted, but I hope McDavid wins a Cup at some point. I hate the Oilers as much as the next Flames fan, but he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game, and you hope a player of that caliber wins a Cup.
Still, I hope he wins a Cup with some team in the Metropolitan Division and not in Edmonton.

I feel terrible for him. McDavid went through some really shitty years with the Oilers. To finally get this far only to stop one step short of a cup would have felt horrible. Winning the Smythe was just salt in the wound

Why would u post this I’m a die hard flames fan but how can you not have respect. The guy just lost game 7 after the battle of his life of course hes in tears who wouldn’t be. hes the best in the world no one can deny it he deserves his moment!!

I hate the oil as much if not more than anyone but it’s a new year and a new season can we give the oilers stuff a rest? Of course the guy was heartbroken, 1 game away from the thing he’s dreamt of his whole life, and one of the hardest accomplishments in sports he’s allowed to be upset. I love our sub but constantly making fun of Edmonton isn’t why I’m here.

Classless post. You have to respect the man’s compete and the amount of pressure on him. He’s always been told he’ll win a cup and he won’t be a « great » until he does. You have to respect the emotion and drive.

For me, the rivalry more so applies to the cities, the fans and the team on the ice. I really don’t get any satisfaction watching professional athletes at the height of their disappointment. There are a few players whose bad reputations would change that a bit for me, but If anything, I feel bad for a lot of these players.
