   At the same time I think this is the right thing to do as there are players more deserving of a roster spot than Pelts. Then again I feel like this is a big mistake

   I think this will go down as a big mistake. Guy is an incredibly hard worker and will bring his game back up somewhere else if claimed.

   Honestly he has not been great. He’s a replacement player at best and every team has 1 or 2 of them.

   Not a huge fan of this but shouldn’t be a big deal in the long run – don’t want to lose him for nothing but keeping him would just be kicking the can down the road and making the logjam worse going forwards – this year is Honzek, but what about when Stromgren, or Basha, or Gridin, or Suniev etc come knocking on the door?

   Edit: i don’t mean to assume he gets claimed, but this is probably the end of his chance to be a full-time nhler. He has officially been passed on the depth chart
