They had interest in him when we were trying to trade Toffoli/Lehkonen, hard to see the fit working now with all the depth players we have though.
TheIdentifySpell
Just below ppg in the AHL, it might be worth a shot. I don’t know what his usage was like in Calgary but if he was given a bottom six role it would make sense that he wasn’t lighting it up as a 5’9 170lb forward.
timhortons67
Another 2019 first round pick would be crazy
bsaures
Ah the french guy on waivers who wouldnt justify a tweet if he wasnt french tweet. Habs hockey is back baby!
Throaway44009988
Meh
When a team waives a player, typically its for good reason. Im not sure what he provides the team that we dont already have, tweener player
SantaClaws514
Est-ce que le fait qu’il soit Québécois lui donne des super pouvoirs? Je comprends pas.
Longshanks123
Not sure where he would fit in our lineup. And I can’t say that I think we need another small forward.
Burgergold
5’9″ 170lbs…
astonedgecko
Quick read of the Flames sub tells me he was looking like a twy way middle six forward that got his development interrupted by 2 injuries last season.
Fuck it dude put in a claim Kent worst case scenario we try to send him down for AHL help and someone else claims him
DangerDavez
Could be a good addition to Laval but I don’t see a spot for him on the big club.
patsbury
Faudra le garder dans la NHL.. on tasse qui?
Non merci, on a déjà Barré-Boulet pour ce genre de situation
john4845
He is just wayyy small. Might be ok for the regular season, but highly doubt would do good in the playoffs
Also, his name is too funny.
skinniks
The last thing we need is another <= 5’10 » top 9 forward.
FlowShredder
if he wasn’t quebecois, this tweet wouldn’t exist
LeoFerre
Enough of underwhelming small 3rd liners
FlashyChapter
If he wasn’t québécois… would we still be talking about him right now? I think the answer is actually yes. The potential is there. With the Laine injury, there’s a spot.
dubwang42069
I would not take him, maybe for Laval only, hes a small player, we dont have any place on our top 6 for a small player and you dont want a 5″9 player on your 3rd or 4th line.
Sportsguy1223
Meh I’d rather have Henieman and Kapanen make it. Unless they’re gonna send down one of the big contract vets I wouldn’t do it

The production is highly interesting, 111 pts in 119 games is really good in the AHL.
I think he is worth a shot. Right now, it is looking like ABB has won the missing spot in the lineup with his preseason, and keeping Kapanen to have him not play would not be a good idea. I think we could send back Kapanen and have Pelletier as the other extra.
Furthermore, after a while, Pelletier loses his Calgary contractual ties and is able to be waived and not directly sent down by them, so this could be a good plan either way.
The_NorthernGrey
Fuck no
Shenji06
I would rather give lavoie from edm who is also on waivers a chance over pelletier we need more bite with our bottom 6.
yulDD
Si Calgary le laisse partir…Calgary!!!! Pas comme si leur club est pacté. Qu’est-ce qui lui fait defaut?
NME_TV
I think we have enough 5’9 french last name players
jb3367
Hmmm French name? Check!
Pitiful_Stock_4329
He’s turning 24 in march, I don’t think he would have that much untapped potential
hockey3331
The people complaining about him having a french name are annoying. Its not like the team is filled with bad french canadians taking the spots of good players. In fact, the few feench canadians we have are performing fine for their roles.
Montembeault has surprised many. Savard is on his way out but still serviceable. Roy is defying the expectations from a 5th rounder.
Pelletier has been a quality prospect for a while dokng really well in the AHL. Im a little concerned that he cannot find a spot on the squad in Calgary STILL. But in terms of waiver wires, its as good a gamble as another.

Too small not interested
HotHuckleberry8904
ABB vs. Pelletier. Ils sont similaire côté physique (même taille ̂le et poids), mais Pelletier a 24 ans vs 27 pour ABB.
SurePrize6218
Id rather nick Suzukis brother
Phantomiux
No way, does it mean that another Slovak player from Slaf’s generation make it into NHL? (Samuel Honzek, drafted in 2023 16th OA).
Mbeaud001
People will want us to pick-up Pierre Engvall instead…
Slapppz
Please stay away from him (Flames fan). We love him, he got injured last year when he was making sound ground in the NHL and hasnt looked the same since, but think he just needs time to readjust to the speed and level
SpatialChase
Never mind Jakob Pelletier. Caroline Hurricanes placed Nick Suzuki’s brother Ryan Suzuki on waivers.
