I for one am ready to dramatically overreact when Jett Luchanko is unfairly returned to the OHL in the next couple weeks.
Now official, Jett has made the opening roster. Hopefully when Danny speaks to media later today we will get clarification on whether it is just a 9 game tryout or if he is here for the season.
EDIT: Danny was noncommittal one way or the other. Says nothing is guaranteed but it seems they are prepared to potentially keep him on the team for the full season.

So apart from Jett and michkov everything pretty much is the same.
I don’t think Tortorella is going to give up Luchanko after 9 games. His concern is what’s best for the roster right now.
Still crazy that the results of this rebuild’s offseason were essentially just swapping Atkinson for Michkov + having an 18 year old make the team.

Forgive my ignorance but I’ve heard and seen so much talk about « 9 games ».
Can someone explain what the 9 games means? Where does this come from, Why is he not able to have more? I know most of us want him to get more time out of the NHL but I don’t know where the 9 games comes from.
So much for the “Jett has 0% chance to make the team!!!” crowd.
Who are the two forwards that sit for Game 1?
For all the bellyaching about our rebuild….our core is <25, we’re rostering our best prosect since Lindors as well as our latest 1st rd pick who is the youngest Flyers player ever, we have only a couple aging vets on bad contracts, goalie situation is promising and young but unproven….what more do you want from a rebuild??
This team could still very much end with another top 10 pick because of goaltending…or make a fun run and give the young core that much more experience. Oh and we have a stable of draft picks with three 1sts and three 2nds next year alone.
I’m out of market in the US. Is ESPN+ my best option for legally streaming the Flyers this season?
