I actually thought Schwindt could get claimed. It’s a shame but Klapka beat him out. Hope the best works out for him. We got a good one off Vegas waivers last year.

Ok, WTF is Vegas doing? According to Puckpedia they have 14 forwards, 8 D, and 2 G, meaning they are one over the roster limit and this is after waiving Ashton-Reese.
So Schwindt and Lavoie remain with the NHL team meaning one of Pearson, Holtz, Howden, Kolesar Korczak (D), has to go down to make room. I think it has to be Korzack at this point, but did Vegas just claim Schwindt and Lavoie to an NHL practice roster basically?

I was kind of worried about this because if Rooney gets hurt, who would the callups at C be? We are quite thin at that position.
I took a look and the next Cs up from the Wranglers would be Morton and Bishop, who both had really good camps. That definitely makes me feel better about that 4C position. Sucks to lose Schwindt but I think we’ll be ok.
Now we just need to figure out who’s gonna be the 1C…
