1. Im personally looking for Jack Hughes’ first goal of the season. Once the first one comes he’s gonna be lighting the lamp on fire!

  2. I’m interested to see how they handle a loss. It’s obviously going to happen sooner or later. If they are able to bounce back from bad games, it’s going to be a good sign for the playoffs.
The PP will mesh eventually. I’m not worried about that.

  3. I'd be curious to know how many penalties last season were Brenden Smith and "too many men". Hopefully we will see a lot less penalties without those 2 factors

  4. Ace, the one thing I am looking for in this game is Can the Devils limit the number of give aways. In game one the Devils gave the puck away 22 times, in the second game it rose to 26…against Buffalo. Of course some of this is new line combos and players getting to know each other in the bottom 6, but a good team like Toronto could feast on that alone.

  5. I think the 6 days off sucks but going into our home opener still ahead of the rest of the pack with a chance to extend it and keep everyone chasing our record could be big for this team. Not to mention every other team’s goalie and starters have not played a full game yet I think it gives us the slight edge over everyone going into this game.

  6. Leafs should be playing with their back to the wall after playing the night prior. It also gives the Devils a preview of what's coming. I'm looking for consistency, controlling the game, and seeing how this team responds to speedy skill. Should get a good picture after this.

  7. Power play will get clicking. I see through interviews, new guys enjoy being in Jersey. Excited to play here. The locker room seems more united with our upgrades. The potential for big things is there and they all believe! LGD! Let’s lay the smack down on the leafs!

  8. I’m going with looking forward to Ws and the momentum of Cotter and Casey to continue . Are we still gonna play that gritty game . Do we see a Dougie slap bomb👀

  9. I think keefe is going to have us rough them up he knows all there tendency’s and weaknesses, this is the third game of the year but just like back in the Stevens days when we would play Detroit early in the season have to set the Tone and play like a playoff game for May when we see Toronto in the playoffs, I think we play them round 1 (Toronto Wild Card) or eastern final

  10. Just realized I commented on your IG post thinking you were referencing the season. I know this team is much improved but I don’t think they can win the Cup in the home opener! 🤣 Last year there were some long breaks in between games, and I feel like it didn’t used to be like that. Maybe 2 days max in between, but there was at least one time I can remember last year (not All-star break) where we didn’t have a game for like a week. In the global series excusable due to jet lag, but want to make sure Marky continues to build his confidence, so he can win us the Cup when the time comes!
