Soon as you saw the schedule you had to know this is how it was gonna go. Defending champs home opener vs backup goalie, this game looked how it should look. As for Korp, last season Stolarz looked bad for us the first 4-6 starts with terrible tracking and rebound control. Luongo worked with him and he finished with better numbers than Bob. Maybe your goalie coaches can do the same thing. I got a good laugh at the bit about Tkachuk, like, don't marry a 304 and then complain she's a 304. Chucky will look you straight in the eye and tell you he's gonna get under your skin so it's up to the opposing players to handle that, but I get it from your POV as well. Until we had Bennett & Tkachuk I hated guys like Kucherov kicking our ass every year. I would not even be a little worried about your team man, whoever was served up to the Panthers tonight was gonna get waxed. Until age/wear takes it's toll Florida is the team to beat, and honestly after 30 years of not winning crap, I am just gonna enjoy it while it lasts. And at least the crowd gave you all some material should we meet in the playoffs with that "we want Swayman" chant. That was dumb on our part lol. GG keep grinding content!
What's van riemsdyk doing? Id rather have him on the ice than a couple of those guys last night. And korpisalo ain't it. He's exactly the guy on the senators.. and the announcers specifically mentioned lohrei as bad. Never good to be pointed out. Elias Lindholm was also pretty invisible. But I think his game is swedish soft, so we might get alot of games like that. think we are going to need to trade a defensemen for offense eventually, but korpisalo made things worse

All I have been hearing Bs best Defense in league. Forsling outplayed McAvoy big time!!! Carlo was a cone. Zadorhov is a good 3rd liner. Lorhie took a step back playing Defense. Ugh….

Game 1, Panthers at home after winning the Cup, refs doing what they do, I wasn't too surprised. But holy fuck defense sucked 1st period.
I think Korpisalo looked okay… everyone in front of the net was so SLLLLLOWWWWWW. Nobody could complete a pass. The puck was a hot potato almost every time it touched a B's stick. The Panthers were everything we needed to be.

If were being honest this game was on the defense with all them turnovers, not boxing guys out of the crease. On bennets first goal macovy glided on his skates instead of actually skating the hole time. That goal dosent happen if he skates hard. That turnover by carlo that lead to a goal was atrocious. They still went long strwtches with no shots. Yes it is game 1 but this team kinda sucks.

I agree with most of your comments except when you called out Frederic for asking Tkachuk to fight . You said he should have known he would get an instigator penalty. A few minutes before that you said that Greer should have been called for that which I agree with. So how is Greer not called and Frederic is? What standard did the refs commit to? None it’s the lets give the B’s all the marginal calls standard .. while the game by Boston was b.s so was the quality of the refs in this game!

I'm a little concerned (alright, more than a little) that Poitras is injured already given his injury history with his shoulder.
Edit: I'm a bit worried about Marchy too. He didn't look healthy. Hopefully it's just a lingering effect of 3 summer surgeries and he'll be back to himself soon.
