Gibson has been on his way out of Anaheim for closer to a decade too.
This is pretty typical whenever a national writer tries to pretend as someone who knows the details of what’s happening on individual teams that aren’t in the public eye. They invariably end up saying things that fans of the team know to be untrue and roll their eyes at.
