I just thought this was a good game. I didn’t feel like either team got walked. Leafs have a new coach and system – I expect a rocky October. Montembeau played a hell of a game and earned the win against an offence that produced 47 SoG. Stolarz looked solid too with a 9.63 S%.

Leafs don't use their veterans much in the preseason so they are not ready when the season starts. Typical Leaf coaching.

Defence also played great, kept all the shot to the exterior and cleared all the rebounds Montembeault gave. Toronto didn't got much quality chances even with 47 shots, no 2 on 1 and only 1-2 dangerous shot from Matthews
