    I really think the avs should go after Mackenzie Blackwood from the sharks he is not that bad on a good defence send the siv the other way with something else.

    The seven goals were all nearly perfect shots. VGK did a great job with their chances while being consistently outplayed – it happens. On to the next game

    I really don't care that it's game 1 of a new season, Georgiev has shown time and time again that he's just too inconsistent to be relied and trusted upon to be a starting goal tender.

    AVS as per usual, defense is lagging, goaltending is flimsy and they try to make up for it by bombing a lot of goals. With a dependable goalie and defense I think the Avs would be easy cup favorites.

    Mikko looked great. I was impressed with Ritchie for his first game and being basically a teenager (correction: IS a teenager). I also personally loved that Georgy both got pulled after 5 and then had to come back out to wind down the game when the Avs game up the empty netter: this team should have zero patience this season with the kind of normal awful low effort performances he put in for most of the regular season last year… and honestly that should just be a general rule in the NHL: you give up 5 and you sit. I don't care what the circumstances were. You can make that argument when you give up 3

    Almost half of the Knights’ shots ended up in the back of the net. That’s pathetic. Georgiev is the only goalie I see get beat top shelf while standing up 😂

    3 top six players out and no starting goalie on the roster hurts baaaaad. We need our boys back and a change at goalie. This can't happen too soon.

    Georgi is a fair goaltender. Most of those goals against were absolute snipes, including the laser back-hander gone top cheese. The D were fairly soft, as these shots were most all from the face-off dots, or closer, often unobstructed or worse yet, with our own D screening Georgi. The reality? An NHL goalie needs to rob shooters more often than not, and even steal a game here an there. Doing either is just too rare for Georgi. This game was just poor, defensively, all around. Offensively, our depth (and size) is again concerning, putting too much reliance on the 1st line. Hard to overcome when we have 6 quasi-new players (some in their 1st NHL games) in the lineup in Kovalenko, Ritchie, Ivan, de Haan + Malinski and Kelly (who have played some games, but little production yet). ChooChoo will help in size and scoring, and confidence as well. We need him back, or we're in trouble. Hoping Mittlestadt and Ritchie outperform expectations. It's a long season. Hang on!

    Management and coaching decided to sign little defenseman who can’t keep people out of the crease. Getting tired of this Avs.
