Au cours des 3 premiers matchs de la saison, le pire joueur des Devils a sans aucun doute été Simon Nemec. Pour une raison quelconque, Nemec a semblé lent et paresseux. Il semble avoir un temps de retard en zone défensive et ne pas lire les jeux comme il l’a fait l’an dernier en zone offensive. Si vous me demandiez il y a une semaine qui serait le premier défenseur à sortir de l’alignement, je vous dirais Seamus Casey ou Johnathan Kovacevic, mais il n’est même pas question que Nemec serait celui qui siégerait en ce moment si Pesce était prêt. aller. Nemec ferait mieux d’améliorer son jeu sinon il se retrouvera sur le banc ou à Utica pour la majorité de la saison

When Pesce comes back, Kovacevic should absolutely be the guy the stay in the lineup. Give Nemec a few games to get his shit straight.

The first like 12 games are always chaos and everyone gets their panties in a bunch. Then the good teams start to separate.
Allowing young players to marinate in the AHL should not be perceived as a bad thing.

I wouldn’t get overly analytical over three games with almost a week’s break in the middle.
There’s no lazier critique than calling a player lazy. Being caught out of position is not being lazy, he’s had a rough 3 games. Happens pretty frequently in sophomore seasons, especially with young dmen. He’ll be fine.
I mean last night wasn’t his best out of the 3, but he didn’t play horrible the first two. Could he be better all around? Absolutely.
I think we definitely send him to Utica given his play so far but I don’t see that as a bad thing tbh.
Personally I think Jack and Mercer have looked like shit.
