I continue to be right about Beauvillier, DK continues his streak of looking dumb. After being so sassy about it too. "Beauvillier? Yeah no" Hahaha I will never let you forget that
Not that my opinion matters, but I was quite disappointed that Jarry was still on the roster. Seems like a great guy, but not a #1 Goalie… Always happy for Geno and excited for 500/1300 🤘🤘
Jarry will be in the net. Too much money not to play him. 🤮🤢
For me, I just will never forget that series against the islanders four years ago when Jarry gave up glove side goals over and over on unscreened wrist shots from the top of the circle. I thought to myself, “the mark of a great goalie is stepping up when the team needs you, not collapsing when it matters most.” Jarry is a good goalie and probably a nice guy, but he’s not THE guy.
Jarry should never start again. Blomqvist should start 75 percent of the games and Ned the other with 25 percent.
I hated Jarry getting resigned to any deal at the time. Maybe Dubas can use Jarry, Graves, some pixie dust and griffin blood and turn it into something useful…

There's gotta be something deeper between Jarry and the rest of the team. Clearly, the rest of the team doesn't believe in him, and they negatively feed off of that in their performance. Young guys like Blomqvist, or hopefully Murashov (whom I believe will be better), are a good source of energy for a older team. I'm not just randomly throwing this out there, either. There's not just a clear distinction in performance with these young tenders, but there's a clear distinction in overall effort.
As you casually mentioned the goal tender making saves…HE MADE BIG SAVES…was just outstanding

DK I actually have to agree. Even though the defense was much better tonight compared to against the Rangers when they were pathetic it just seems like the team doesn’t rally around Jarry anymore but did for the talented rookie tonight. It honestly speaks volumes at this point

You said it DK, that first 10 minutes was scary. They were dominating puck possession and peppering Joel with shots. But, HE was great! HE kept us in that game! Glad to see everyone else decided to help him in the 2nd and 3rd periods.
Jarry, not matter how bad they want him to be, will never be the guy. He was great in he NHL but on the Major's, he's just too easy to beat. He's eak glove side, and makes no effort to improve. The team needs to move past him if they want o succeed. It's not all his falult, the defence needs to be there, but he let's in too many soft goals to be taken seriously as a final's goalie. The team needs to move one. If he can't adapt, he's dragging them down…

I would start Blomqvist for the next 10 games if possible…. I would wait until Nedeljkovic is ready & I'd let him receive the next start after those 10 games…. & I'd try & stick Jarry on LTIR if possible….
When they play a team that's actually beatable, the energy is there. The Rangers opener was a preseason game lol.
Blomqvist looked very good and kept them in it; I thought they would lose this one too but was delightfully surprised. When Ned comes back I'd keep those two on tandem and let Jarry learn why he stinks
My only problem – a silly one – with Kevin Hayes – is I see him and I think "Jeff Carter"!
Great take on jarry, I’ve always said he’s either stoned and sobers up to play better or smokes one during intermission. Never seen someone play so lights out at times and beer leaguer the next
For Joel Blomqvest , He had a great first game with the Pens. The offensive game was great. I'm thrilled they got a win. Thank you DK, Great show.
When Sid and Geno do so much work, these other guys NEED to figure out ways to make that work for them. So much opportunity presents itself when you put it on the stick of superstar players like Sid and Geno.

My concern after watching game one was that the Pens might be too slow for the NHL and was very glad that wasnt the case in game 2 vs a fast team. The team doesnt seem to like playing for Jarry?-What is going on there? In all fairness, Jarry doesnt get much help from his team mates out there. Maybe he would be better on another team.
I;m not a Jarry fan either, but think it is a bit unfair to blame him for a lousy game 1. I think they should just get what they can for him and excuse him…But he aint responsible for the team having lead in their skates in game 1 for almost all of the game. I attribute that to having so many new players and lines out there, Karlsson not getting practice time, home opener, the Rangers, and Jarry. Nervous exhaustion? Lots of uncertainties. Hope Blomqvist is a gamer..he didnt have a great pre season..Will be fun to find out.

You can't come out like the Pens do night after night and expect your goalie to save you. They hang goalies out to dry time and time again. The amount of odd man rushes against is laughable. The Dzone coverage is not good. The physicality is non existent. Jarry kept that team in plenty of games last season and the team didn't score any goals. I certainly don't believe the goaltending is championship level but as far as the Pens issues, goaltending is not top three.
