Loved Hildeby saying his parents watched just because he was on the bench first game! Every parent can relate! So happy he got his first NHL game and Wn.
Game 2: congrats to the Hildebeast 🎉. Leafs stole 4 cookies from a jumpy bunch of jet lagged kids. A few guys connect (Robertson and Holmberg, Domi will find anyone’s stick but the receiver has to be smart with it, 4th line looks like fun the rest is a bunch of individuals for now. Hope the Leafs will become a TEAM and start to gel more / really help each-other out.
Tavares looks best out of the core 4 Matthews gonna kick it up a notch Mitch and nylander look trash so far

Heldebeast is the real deal and will only get better. The PP will be worked out as I’m sure they will go over video and work on executing. Love the PK and Lane Lamberts enthusiasm on the bench, think the buds will have a top 5 PK this season with all the bodies they can throw out there.
The best thing about that game was the contribution from the bottom 6. If Berube can throw those players out and who are a threat to score and defensively responsible every time they’re on the ice, that’s what we need when teams try and shut down the top 6. All four lines rolling.
Going to be fun to watch this season!

No lie I was worried to play HildeBeast against NJ for his 1st regular season game but man he looked poised and in control and with Stolarz were in a good place!
magic mitch could easily be the highest goal scorer every year while he is clearly very very creative but PLEASE MITCH SHOOT THE F>>>> PUCK when you AGAIN have a clear shot !!!!

I like Burube's equal opportunity offense. We arent gonna be winning a Cup unless they play as a team. That means less goals for our top guys. But more fun and cohesive. Its been proven every playoff season they can beat the Leafs by shutting down our top guys.
The top line was another disappointment tonight. Like Berube said, they’re playing too cute at times, and trying to pass it to the net rather than just shooting. It’s so frustrating to watch. The zone entries were less than AHL level too.
Steven Lorentz seems like the type of guy who would smile getting socks for Christmas 😅 so cheery. I'm almost jealous.

Lorentz is the type of player who we will need in the playoffs. He’s the guy we have been missing for the past couple years.

Day by day. Nourishment greatness. Exercise diligent positivity. Foremost treat your life properly as to preserve you(s) results. I see that the organization needs to show you in the class room the statistics day by day about practice, (how you responded and felt) to know if your tired or maintaining proper training. Showing statistics graphs may be boring but for those wanting to excel, they learn from statistics that the team produces. If you don't comprehend, then have a friend explain in a gentlemanly fashion. Let's Go Toronto Maple Leafs!!! Positivity always!! Find the positive even in the negative. Learn you and how you want and choose to react. Looking forward positively to a stellarly grand season.
lorentz is a breath of fresh air in leaf land
We are quick but because the natural repetition has been worked, is why the guys aren't letting them fly at spot moments. Need to Believe in yourself, because your teammates do, they all want what's the best for you and the transition of that is confidence.
PowerPlay sucks but Coach does see the issues, and clearly states them. The exact same issues as fans have been saying for years lol.
Matthews could of had 3 goals by now with hitting posts. The lineup is good for Sat, just change the PP because it stinks after two games.
Not going to lie, it's exciting to see the third and forth lines have this tenacious energy. Go, go, go, energy! Let's hope the top six can catch this vibe. Goaltending is looking really good, and the defence too. Less Rielly on the PP!

I love the changes Tree has made this season from the Bench Boss down. Chief is an incredible coach. Watched Keefe's new conference too, Although I like him as a person, his coaching style became stale in TO. You know he wanted to win this game badly but the proof is in the pudding. Nylander seems frustrated but he's got to learn to be tougher. I feel hopeful as a longtime Leaf fan for the first time in a long time. Now let's crush Pittsburg!
